A bit of update on Reitaisai's arrangement albums

I just browsed through the wiki page to add more circles to my to-listen-to list, and I am excited to see this:

Patchyyyyy

It appears that it's going to be a 100% EoSD arrangement album, and the man himself, IRON-CHINO will lend his voice for an arrangement of Voile. This should be interesting; I wonder how he will tackle the song, which I don't hear too much vocal arrangements of it (and I don't think I've heard a male vocal for Voile before too). I'm not really expecting much from The Stahl tho - I only liked Rain In Vain out of the vocal tracks that he did for IRON ATTACK!.

(EDIT: How come Lunate Elf or Beloved Tomboyish Daughter arrangement is not there? D: )

Other than IRON ATTACK!, UI-70, C-CLAYS, THOUSAND LEAVES and Pizuya's Cell are also releasing an album (in the case of C-CLAYS, 2) for Reitaisai 8. I haven't listened that many arrangements from the last two circles... so this is all the more reason for me to do so, yeah?

In another news, apparently Barrage Am Ring is coming with another CD, this time a collaboration between CROW'SCLAW and Pizuya's Cell. I didn't really like the first BAR album on my first few listening, but I love them now. I'm looking forward to what kind of arrangements they'll do in this one.

Any other Touhou metalheads who are looking forward to these releases as well?

On a completely unrelated note, I've been catching up on Madoka today. I haven't watched too much of the other series of the season, but this is set to be my favourite out of the list so far. And now I'm tempted to check other work by Shaft too (I think I've only watched 2 or 3 of the series at the moment).

I can now see where all the hating of Kyubey is coming from too. It kinda surprises me how that :3 faced thing could be so hated haha.

  1. I still haven't heard much of the music released at the two last Comikets yet, but I'm looking forward to Concerto of the Scarlet Elements. I like the cover too. (´・ω・` )

Pani Poni Dash! and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Two of the best series ever, in my opinion.

  2. I haven't looked at what's coming up in Reitaisai yet, I just hope there won't be vocals everywhere. Looking at the track list for Iron-Chino's album I'm curious in "Is it so?" and "Nights is a Long Time".

SZS, Maria Holic, and Bakemonogatari are my recommendations for Shaft. Hidamari Sketch is nice too if you want some moe overload.

  3. @Link: I placed the cover up at my fagbook, and even some some non-Touhou fan showed some interest lol

I've been meaning to check SZS, but I haven't thought of PPD!. I'll go and check it out then!

@Cpt: Yeah, I would also like my usual dose of metal/rocks too. I am highly interested in 'Is it so?' too, yup.

HS is actually on my to-watch list - I hope I could go around my backlog soon. Thanks for the recommendations!

  5. @Pocky: Hmm, guess I'll watch PPD! after I'm done going through Arakawa 2 and Bakemonogatari then (both which I have been sitting in my backlog for a while now)
