A day out at a meido kafe

I'm currently in those very busy weeks - the one so busy that I don't have time to take it easy, much less to write anything here (I apologize for not dropping much at other blogs too). So... have this rather old 'MY BLOG' stuff while I rush off to finish some other things?

The day when mukyu~ meets JAOOOOOOO

Motto Loveressive & Concerto of the Scarlet Elements

So... even with Reitaisai 8 being cancelled, we still get some CDs being released by some circles (by the way, from what I heard, the event is being forwarded to 8th of May. I wonder if Kami no Pocky will go to Japan again this time around - do you plan to do so?)

I've only found 2 Reitaisai album on the interweb so far. I don't know about the other releases; maybe I should search for the rest later.

Happi birthdesu, kisama~

Damn I love this show

Although it was actually 2 days ago if you wanna know (yesterday if you're on the western part of the world). I was too busy and tired to post anything here for the event (well, not that anything interesting happened anyway).

I'm not telling ya my age, but I'll just give a hint: I'm still at a good(?) age of 20-something.

Where's the funny?

Seriously.

I don't get how this guy can find the whole thing something which he could make a joke about. Insensitive apathetic idiot much, huh?

And apparently this whole thing is picked up by some page on the interwebs too. Oh boy...

EDIT: well, they apologized (in Bahasa Malaysia by the way) over the issue and all, but still.

Ocean falls, and mountain drifts

I'm not exactly too enthusiastic after hearing of the recent 8.9 Magnitude earthquake that just hit Japan very recently. Earthquakes - and actually many other natural disasters - always makes me feeling all depressed. The thought of me sitting here all safe and dry, whereas scores of peoples in a distant (or not so distant) country never fails to get me feeling all down. Yes, that might be silly and all, but that's just the way I feel.

I'm now feeling more depressed than my usual depressed-self, considering how in the face of these natural disasters, there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it (well, there is of course prediction, but that doesn't change the fact that said disaster still takes place).

One of the most original Touhou arrangement that I've seen

I wasn't too much interested during the intro, but when the song starts... I was literally going :O

I don't usually post something on a whim like this, but this is too good to pass. The thing is, this look quite spiritual and solemn too, what's with the ritual and all. I wonder if that is actually the case (it's Buddhism, right?)

This is awesome, still.

A bit of update on Reitaisai's arrangement albums

I just browsed through the wiki page to add more circles to my to-listen-to list, and I am excited to see this:

Patchyyyyy

It appears that it's going to be a 100% EoSD arrangement album, and the man himself, IRON-CHINO will lend his voice for an arrangement of Voile. This should be interesting; I wonder how he will tackle the song, which I don't hear too much vocal arrangements of it (and I don't think I've heard a male vocal for Voile before too). I'm not really expecting much from The Stahl tho - I only liked Rain In Vain out of the vocal tracks that he did for IRON ATTACK!.

(EDIT: How come Lunate Elf or Beloved Tomboyish Daughter arrangement is not there? D: )

Other than IRON ATTACK!, UI-70, C-CLAYS, THOUSAND LEAVES and Pizuya's Cell are also releasing an album (in the case of C-CLAYS, 2) for Reitaisai 8. I haven't listened that many arrangements from the last two circles... so this is all the more reason for me to do so, yeah?

In another news, apparently Barrage Am Ring is coming with another CD, this time a collaboration between CROW'SCLAW and Pizuya's Cell. I didn't really like the first BAR album on my first few listening, but I love them now. I'm looking forward to what kind of arrangements they'll do in this one.

Any other Touhou metalheads who are looking forward to these releases as well?

On a completely unrelated note, I've been catching up on Madoka today. I haven't watched too much of the other series of the season, but this is set to be my favourite out of the list so far. And now I'm tempted to check other work by Shaft too (I think I've only watched 2 or 3 of the series at the moment).

I can now see where all the hating of Kyubey is coming from too. It kinda surprises me how that :3 faced thing could be so hated haha.

Global Battle Of The Band (and Touhou music thingie)

A few days ago, I went to perhaps my first concert (the ones that they do in uni/public place doesn't really count). And I must say that it was quite exciting - I certainly wouldn't mind going to these kind of events any time in the future. If they are good concerts, I mean.

Pretentious hipsters event much? Hell I dunno, but at least the bands are not the pretty-faced boybands with sucky songs and pretentious fans, heh.
