Comiket 80 music albums - the wait

As with all the previous events, the music albums released by the doujin circles are always what I look forward to. Heck, I'd even fork some cash for some of those delicious album over figures any time of the day! Alas, the monies (or rather, the lack of it)...

Some albums which caught my interests would be:

CROW'SCLAW is releasing an EP, with one original new track and two vocal pieces off their last original album, Blacker Than The Blackest Black. I need no other reason to check this work other than IT'S FUCKING TAKA CERTIFIED.

Iron-Chino. I might complain on how you keep on dishing albums without stopping, but I'll be damnest to check out all your new work without fail.

I hear a clear influence off Iron Maiden here. Oh, you.

Crossfade

Is Bach in sync with Iron-Chino? 'cause besides the previously mentioned Angel Mountain, THOUSAND LEAVES is coming out with mostly Mountain of Faith arrangement album. This is looking good, and is certainly giving Iron-Chino a run for the money.

If IRON ATTACK! and THOUSAND LEAVES are going for Mountain of Faith arrangement, UI-70 goes accoustic for Perfect Cherry Blossom. A good break from the couple of metal arrangement for the last few albums (with the occasional techno thrown here and there).

Unlucky Morpheus is going jazzy and bluesy for their newest album after a 2 year hiatus. Some smart aleck might be tempted to point out that Fuki is absent on this album (and rejoicing at that)... but to each his own, mm?

Hailed as 'Frozen Frog all over again' by a random person off the interwebst (I loved that album by the way), this is going to be something interesting to go through. Oh, and Heavy Metal Be-Bop? How does that work, I wonder.

Yellow Zebra returns is coming out with two album for this Comiket: one with only Yuki on the tracks, the other with Ucchi alongside (only two tracks, sadly enough). I was honestly quite disappointed upon hearing the lack of Ucchi on the second album, but at least she's not altogether missing from the circle. More Ucchi on the tracks isn't a bad thing tho.

EDIT (11/8/11): Buta Otome is releasing two albums!!

Buta-Otome never fails to disappoint me. From the sound of it, this album isn't an exception. I'm looking forward to hearing the full version of the Heian Alien arrangement.

Other albums I'd be looking forward to would be some joint album (with Buta Otome on one of them), Pizuya's Cell, SYNC.ART'S, and TatshMusicCirle (which I'm slowly listening to them haha).

I'm sorely disappointed that Demetori isn't releasing any new stuff for this Comiket, but I guess it can't be helped.

My ears are ready

EDIT: I totally forgotten that Ten Desires is to be released this Comiket (I thought they are to be out for the winter Comiket)...

S-shut up! I'm a Slowbro, I know.

  3. >CROW'SCLAW is releasing an EP, with one original new track

I hope this means we'll get a whole new album with original content soon.

I haven't even heard the latest three or so albums from IRON ATTACK!. He's not bad at all, but yeah.

    >I hear a clear influence off Iron Maiden here. Oh, you.

Fuck it, I'm getting this shit.

    >UI-70 goes accoustic for Perfect Cherry Blossom.

That's nice. I just wish they could give their arrangements original titles instead of always using the original ones.

Haven't heard Yellow Zebra, but I'll maybe check them out. The album covers were nice.

  4. I haven't followed Touhou music very closely for a while now, but I always did like Demetori, so it's a shame he's not releasing anything new.

I liked SHO as well, but I don't think he's still releasing either.

It does make it hard to organise and search for tracks if there's a whole bunch with the same title.

  5. @bd77: Yeap, and that doesn't include the previous unlistened albums...

@exalt: Haha, but first of all I need to go through some circles first (e.g. THOUSAND LEAVES and TatshMusicCircle) before I can savour the new releases.

@Link: More original work from Taka is never a bad thing. At least he's not spamming a brand new album each time like a certain guitar shredder...

And fuck yeah, that feel that I get just like when I had my first listen at Dead Heat Refrain.

And I know that feel of keeping original title. Can get pretty tedious after a while.

Yellow Zebra have that easy going cute-ish vocal going on. Maybe not as solid as some other vocal arrangement circles, but their work are consistent. And yup, their album covers are always pleasant to look at.

@serenity: probably a thousand fans are raging at how Demetori aren't releasing anything... but it can't be helped can it.

I've heard a couple of tracks off SHO, but that's it. Shame how some off these circles just stay mum after a while...

    That feel and that album.

    >probably a thousand fans are raging at how Demetori aren't releasing anything... but it can't be helped can it.

I was kind of expecting a new album around new years last year, but no. I don't mind the long wait, though.

  8. @Link: Yeah, I hope they'll come up with something to top off Nada Upasana Pundarika. That album is beast.
