And feeling just like going on a trip through time, I went back and listened to the piece by Evanescence

when suddenly, bam, just like that. A trip down memory's lane.

I thought of a girl I had a crush on way back. And this was after, 4-6 years since I last saw her? (online, since it's really through a particular Pokemon message board (Pokemasters, not sure if they're still alive and kicking)) that we met. And if you ask me to this day, I can't say exactly what it was that made me just feel interested in her.

It seemed like a lifetime ago.

2 years of eating danmakus

Perhaps of some curious interesting numerical coincidence (well... almost), the 2nd and 22nd of May marks the milestone in my inception into the Touhou series - the first being having listening to the first three work by CROW'SCLAW, and the latter being coming across an article at one blog.

Never forget!

I've discovered that my intelligence have taken quite a beating lately (procrastination and laziness can do that)... but rather than a review or anything, this would be more of a commemorating post than anything. I really could use some exercise when it comes to writing, eh?

Milestones!

It's finally here!

I'll be enrolling in Master program soon. Have to go through the usual registration, and on top of that, I need to move out from where I'm currently staying. Lots of moving around, so I'll be all over the place in the next couple of days, so to speak.

I'll never get tired of this scene

Also, today's my birthday. Didn't really do anything, since it's working day and all. Went and treat myself to lunch this one restaurant which I don't usually go on normal days. I'm also thinking of going to this other restaurant which I've never went to - just for the heck of it.

I'm getting older, but am I wiser? I hope so.

I wish that I won't be regretting anything I've done presently in the future. There's a few disappointment and regret about the past, sure, but I guess no one is truly satisfied about his past.

Animals go to heaven

I've just received news yesterday that two of the kittens at our house have died. One apparently died due to some sort of disease (snake bite seems to be the culprit), whereas the other one - on the day after that - died after being ran over.

No I do not want to inquire who it was that ran him over. Let bygones be bygones.



The best thing about animals: they don't argue on what would happen in the life afterward. So now both of them have passed on, to become one with nature, where they are to fertilize any flowers which you could care to name.

We're going to miss you Elgee and Lucky.

Though thousands of lives disperse and die, these flower ever blossom
Again and again in countless cycles, like a faint dream

A 9-5 life in Gombak: The wait

Currently I'm working part-time at a consulting agency for engineering geology while I awaits for some progress on my Master application. Things are going pretty well, but it's been so long since when I first applied that I've somewhat lost the momentum in terms of researching.

Going through literatures and papers is in order, it seems, to get the flame flickering again, like.

This is not a revolution!

Ocean falls, and mountain drifts

I'm not exactly too enthusiastic after hearing of the recent 8.9 Magnitude earthquake that just hit Japan very recently. Earthquakes - and actually many other natural disasters - always makes me feeling all depressed. The thought of me sitting here all safe and dry, whereas scores of peoples in a distant (or not so distant) country never fails to get me feeling all down. Yes, that might be silly and all, but that's just the way I feel.

I'm now feeling more depressed than my usual depressed-self, considering how in the face of these natural disasters, there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it (well, there is of course prediction, but that doesn't change the fact that said disaster still takes place).

Happy new year of the rabbit!
